About CzechPayroll

CzechPayroll.com was created to make Czech payroll easier to understand for people who don’t work with it every day.

Behind the website is Renáta Špačková, a Czech payroll professional with more than 13 years of experience across local and global payroll environments.

Czech payroll should not feel like a black box.

If you work in international HR, Finance or global payroll, you probably already know the feeling: the payroll provider sends the reports, the numbers look reasonable, and yet you are still not entirely sure what is happening underneath.

Czech payroll has its own rules, terminology, deadlines and practical nuances. And when those things are explained through a global system or a local provider, it is not always easy to see what is actually required under Czech law.

That is the gap CzechPayroll.com is here to fill.

Who is behind CzechPayroll?

I’m Renáta, a Czech payroll professional who has spent more than a decade working with payroll, employment-related processes and international payroll environments.

Over the years, I’ve worked with Czech payroll from different angles — from the detailed local side to the much bigger picture of global payroll operations, implementations and international teams.

That experience taught me something quite simple: Czech payroll is rarely difficult because the rules themselves are impossible to understand. It becomes difficult when nobody connects the local rules with the way an international company actually operates.

CzechPayroll.com grew out of that experience.

“You don’t always need another payroll provider. Sometimes you need someone who can look at what you already have and tell you what is actually going on.”

Why I created CzechPayroll.com

There is plenty of payroll information available. The problem is that much of it is either written for Czech payroll professionals or buried inside provider documentation.

01 — LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

Czech payroll in plain English

International teams should not have to become Czech payroll specialists just to understand what their provider is doing.

02 — INDEPENDENCE

No particular provider to defend

CzechPayroll.com is independent. The goal is to understand the payroll reality, not to sell you another platform or payroll solution.

03 — GLOBAL CONTEXT

Local payroll, understood globally

Czech payroll often sits inside a much larger international structure. That context matters when reviewing processes, controls and payroll outputs.

Global Payroll Experience

My background is not limited to traditional Czech payroll. I’ve also worked within international payroll environments where local requirements have to fit into global processes, systems and stakeholder expectations.

This includes experience with global payroll platforms, EOR structures, payroll implementations and multi-country payroll operations.

Platform and provider names are mentioned to describe practical experience only. CzechPayroll.com does not claim official partnership with these providers.

What this means for you

  • You get the Czech payroll perspective without unnecessary local jargon.
  • Global payroll processes can be viewed through the lens of Czech requirements.
  • Payroll outputs can be questioned rather than simply accepted.
  • Local issues can be translated into language HR, Finance and HQ teams can actually use.
  • You can get an independent second pair of eyes when something doesn’t look right.

What I actually do

CzechPayroll.com is not a payroll bureau. I don’t run your monthly payroll. I help you understand it, review it and deal with the Czech-specific questions that come with it.

Payroll Review

Review of payroll outputs, calculations, payslips, wage sheets, deductions, reporting and recurring payroll issues.

Independent Consulting

Practical support when you need a Czech payroll expert to investigate an issue, explain a requirement or sense-check an approach.

Global Payroll Support

Czech payroll input for international HR, Finance and global payroll teams working with providers, EORs or multi-country structures.

Provider & Vendor Review

An independent local perspective when you need to understand whether a provider’s setup, outputs or explanations make sense.

Implementation Support

Czech payroll expertise during implementation, transition or changes to an existing payroll setup.

Practical Guidance

Clear explanations, checklists and next steps instead of another 50-page document nobody wants to read.

How I work

My approach is deliberately practical. Payroll questions usually don’t need more complexity. They need someone to identify what matters and explain it clearly.

01. Understand the situation

First, I look at the actual setup, the people involved, the payroll process and the question behind the question.

02. Find what matters

I focus on the Czech payroll rules, risks, inconsistencies or missing information that actually need attention.

03. Make it usable

You get a clear explanation and practical next steps that can be shared with HR, Finance, HQ or your payroll provider.

What you can expect

  • Clear English explanations
  • A genuinely independent local perspective
  • Practical answers rather than unnecessary theory
  • Direct communication when something needs attention
  • No pressure to replace a provider that is already working for you
  • A focus on making payroll easier to understand

And what you won’t get

  • Another payroll platform to buy
  • Provider-specific sales language
  • Unnecessary payroll jargon
  • A recommendation to outsource something simply because it can be outsourced
  • A black-box answer of “that’s how the system calculates it”

Already have a payroll provider?

That’s absolutely fine. In fact, that’s how many of the situations I work on start. Sometimes you simply need an independent Czech payroll expert to look at what you already have.
